St. Charles Borromeo School (SCB) is a Roman Catholic parish elementary school in the Bensalem Township School District that has served students in grades PK3 to 8 for over 100 years. We are honored that the Sisters, Servants of Immaculate Heart of Mary have staffed our school since its inception. Through religious and academic instruction, the faculty and staff develop students’ intellect, discipline, and self-worth.

SCB community is dedicated to fostering a safe environment which helps students achieve both spiritual and educational excellence and a way of life consistent with the principles of Catholic Christianity. Using the guidelines established by the Office of Catholic Education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, SCB teaches the Common Core Curriculum providing a comprehensive education that nurtures life-long learning and success.

SCB is accredited by The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). Although we are a Catholic school, we welcome students of all faiths. SCB does not discriminate on the basis of race, disability, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of our educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic or other school-administered programs.

Most of our students receive supplemental funding; students received over $113,000 in grants and scholarships last year. Our students have consistently performed well at our school as well as in high school and beyond. Our school was recently designated a School of Distinction by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia based on our students’ academic achievement and growth on Terra Nova tests. SCB is proud of the accomplishments of our graduates. Parents continue to attest that SCB is a community that feels like family.

The Archbishop has named our parish as an Hispanic Apostolate for the Archdiocese and we take pride in our relationship with the Our Lady of Fatima Outreach Center. The Fatima Catholic outreach center provides bilingual support to our students’ families such as ESL, computer, citizenship, and financial education classes. In addition, they provide immigration legal assistance, social services, counseling, referral, community resources, a community garden that welcomes everyone and a thrift store that offers discounts to children and their families and the parish/community.
