Ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 2003, Fr. Forlano was named the pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in 2018. He has previously served as an assistant pastor at St. Stanislaus Parish, Lansdale, the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, and St. Agnes Parish, West Chester.
Mrs. Quinn comes to St. Charles with more than twenty years of experience as an educator and administrator. She has taught in both the Catholic and public school systems on the elementary and high school levels. Her administrative experience draws from both sectors.. Recently, she served as the Assistant Principal for Student Life at Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls and was responsible for activities and discipline.
Tracey E. Connell, the youngest of the late Richard and Dolores Connell, is a lifelong parishioner, a 1987 graduate of St. Charles Borromeo School, and a 1991 Bishop Conwell graduate. Her greatest achievement was receiving the Kathy Adams Memorial Award for courage and perseverance in high school at graduation. Tracey is the General Manager of Lee’s Hoagie House in Northeast Philadelphia. Her professional contacts have enabled her to generate community support for St. Charles Borromeo School. Tracey was previously employed as a Senior Customer Representative for Prudential Financial, and she was heavily involved as a community volunteer for Prudential CARES.
Tracey followed the example of her parents and has been involved in many aspects of parish life. She served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and was a member of the St. Charles choir. Tracey is currently a member of the Parish Pastoral Council, the Board of Limited Jurisdiction, and the Development Committee. Her greatest joy is serving St. Charles Parish as a PREP teacher for twenty years.
Michelle is a current parent and parishioner of St. Charles and a mother of 4 children. She is currently the Physician Liaison for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic (Catholic Health System-SMMC, Nazareth, Mercy Fitzgerald, Mercy Philadelphia, St. Francis Delaware). She holds 15 years of strategy and business development experience in both the acute and ambulatory space in healthcare.
As a member of the parish for all his life, and a graduate of the St. Charles Borromeo class of 2006, Michael has a strong personal stake in the best interest in the advancement of SCB, the teachers and its students. With his professional and educational background, he looks forward to helping lead St. Charles Borromeo school to accomplish its goals as a premier modern Catholic grade school.
Charlie has been a parishioner of St. Charles for 30 years. His two children, Sean and Brianna went to SCBS Grades K-8. He is happily married to his wife, Karen, for forty-two years. Charlie has a vast educational background; beginning 2012, he worked throughout the Council Rock School District as a Substitute Teaching Assistant in the Special Education Program assisting Elementary, Middle, and High School students with Special Education Needs in Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, and Emotional Support classrooms. From September 2013 until June 2019, he worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Autistic Program at Newtown Middle School assisting non-verbal and verbal students in the Autistic Program.
From 1991 to 2004, Charlie worked as a Supervisory Revenue Agent. He led and managed employees in Technical, Professional, and Clerical positions in Field Examination (Audit), Office Examination and Specialty Program Examination Groups throughout the Philadelphia Metro Area. During this period, Charlie was the District Fraud Coordinator reviewing civil and criminal fraud referrals between the Exam and Criminal Investigation Divisions. Prior to this position from 1973-1991, he worked as a Tax Examiner at the IRS Phila Service Center. He served as an Internal Revenue Agent and Tax Auditor, conducting field audits of corporate, partnership and individual income tax returns and coordinating various programs including Tax Protester, Currency and Banking Retrieval System, and others.
Charlie was an Accounting Major at La Salle University, and CCP where he graduated in 1985 Summa Cum Laude. In his free time, Charlie enjoys playing guitar for our church and spending time with his grandchildren, ages 3 and 1.
Andrew is an active volunteer in the Bensalem community through the Fatima Catholic Outreach Center and Catholic Social Services. He holds a BS in Accounting from Penn State University and a Masters in Accounting from Villanova University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania. He hopes to bring a fresh, young voice and a professional and educational background that provides value to the board and the school.
Joseph is a 1974 graduate of St. Charles Borromeo. He has a BS degree in Business from West Chester University and is currently the Associate Broker for Re/Max Realty Services in Bensalem. He is also the President of Bensalem Council, and a member since 2008. Joseph’s mother, also an alumnus of SCB, put 12 children through St. Charles.
Colleen is a 1996 graduate of St. Charles Borromeo School, a lifelong parishioner, and the Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council. She has served our parish in a variety of roles, including altar server, Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and usher. Colleen is a strong supporter of Catholic education and is deeply committed to the mission and advancement of St. Charles Borromeo School. She and her husband Tim Coughlin are active in our parish music ministry program and have been assisting with the development of the parish website.
Colleen brings a strong educational leadership background and fifteen years of middle school and high school teaching experience to the Board of Limited Jurisdiction. She is entering her tenth year as a Mathematics Teacher at William Tennent High School in the Centennial School District. In addition to serving as a case manager for gifted students, Colleen also coaches Tennent’s Speech and Debate Team. She is a member of her district’s safety committee, has served on a variety of district and building level committees, and has acquired administrative experience in her district. Colleen, an alumna of Villa Victoria Academy, is a member of Villa Victoria’s Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Development Committee. Along with assisting in tournament operations at local speech and debate tournaments, Colleen is the President of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Debate League and the Judge Coordinator of the Philadelphia Catholic Forensic League.
In addition to a B.S. in Computer and Mathematical Sciences and a B.A. in Spanish from Chestnut Hill College, Colleen holds an M.Ed. in Special Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Holy Family University. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Assessment from Holy Family University. In addition to principal certification, Colleen is certified to teach mathematics, special education, and Spanish.
James has been a parishioner of St. Charles for 30 years, during which time has served as a lector (30 yrs) and scout leader (29 yrs). His experience consists of 12 years as a parochial schoolteacher, four years as a parochial school Principal, and 26 years as a public school Principal in Philadelphia.
Len is a longtime member of Bensalem and has over 30 years of comprehensive experience in developing multiple projects across the real estate business in Philadelphia. Mr. Poncia holds an MBA in Finance and Investment Management, an MS in Structural Engineering and a BS in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and has completed postgraduate courses in Real Estate in the MBA program at Temple University. Mr. Poncia serves on several boards at a local, county and state level as well as charitable organizations.
