- What Is Scrip?
  
  Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you not only raise additional funds for St. Charles but earn a credit toward your child’s tuition. - How scrip generates revenue for you
  St. Charles purchases scrip from various vendors at a discount and re-sells the certificates to families like you for full face value. The discount (2%-15%) is split between you and St. Charles. Find out more by following this link.
  Cut down on your tuition bill with scrip
  When you make a scrip purchase the discount that St. Charles receives is split with you (50/50 if you have a child in a Catholic high school or college or 80/20 if you child(ren) attend St. Charles). If you spend an average of $100 a week on groceries, you will receive a credit of $4.00 toward your tuition (based on 80%). Over the course of a school year that would equal over $200! If you add in using scrip to purchase gas, fast food, clothes, the savings add up.
